Synopsis

Permanent Fulltime Position
$121,095 to $136,286 (Dep on Skills + Experience) + 12 % Superannuation

About The Role

As the Culture and Engagement Partner, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience across City of Melbourne. Working closely with leaders and teams, you'll translate employee feedback, workforce insights and organisational priorities into meaningful initiatives that strengthen culture, improve engagement and foster a sense of belonging.

This is an opportunity to influence how Team Melbourne works, grows and thrives. Through coaching, facilitation and strategic partnering, you'll help leaders cultivate high-performing and values-led teams while driving initiatives that enhance employee experience and organisational effectiveness.

A Little More About The Role

  • Lead City of Melbourne's employee listening and engagement approach, ensuring employee feedback drives meaningful and sustainable improvements.
  • Partner with leaders to strengthen culture, engagement and team effectiveness through coaching, facilitation and advisory support.
  • Analyse people and engagement data to identify trends, opportunities and risks, providing evidence-based recommendations and solutions.
  • Design and deliver initiatives that enhance employee experience, strengthen organisational culture and embed Team Melbourne values.
  • Collaborate closely with People, Culture and Safety teams to deliver integrated people outcomes that support inclusion, wellbeing and organisational performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement through contemporary culture, engagement and organisational development practices.

You're someone who combines strategic thinking with a genuine passion for people. You enjoy partnering with leaders, facilitating meaningful conversations and turning insights into action. Most importantly, you're motivated by creating positive employee experiences and helping organisations perform at their best.

What your experience might look like - Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience partnering with leaders to strengthen organisational culture, employee engagement and employee experience outcomes.
  • Proven ability to facilitate workshops, team discussions and engagement activities that improve collaboration, accountability and performance.
  • Strong analytical capability, with experience translating employee feedback, engagement data and workforce insights into practical actions and measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent consulting, coaching and influencing skills with the ability to build credibility and trusted relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Experience designing and implementing initiatives that enhance employee experience, engagement and organisational effectiveness.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present insights and recommendations clearly and confidently.
