Lead Growth of Engineering and the Built Environment at Stanmore College
This is an excellent opportunity to join Stanmore College as Curriculum Manager – Engineering and Built Environment, leading one of the College’s most growing curriculum areas. As a Curriculum Manager, you can build on existing provision while developing new routes across Engineering and the Built Environment. This area has the most potential to grow in the College and we want YOU to drive that
We are looking for an experienced curriculum leader to take a key role in shaping this growth, leading a team and ensuring learners have access to high-quality, industry-relevant education. You will play an important role in strengthening established engineering provision while developing new routes that respond to learner demand, industry needs and the College’s strategic priorities.

With established engineering provision and development of new areas such as construction, design, surveying and planning or electrical installation, you will have a real influence on the future direction of the curriculum.

The Role
You will lead the Engineering and the Built Environment provision, with responsibility for managing a team of staff and overseeing the delivery and continuous development of a high-quality curriculum.
You will:
- Lead and manage a team of lecturers, supporting performance management, professional development, and the establishment of a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Drive excellent standards in teaching, learning, and assessment, ensuring strong student outcomes.
- Develop and enhance a forward-thinking curriculum that reflects industry needs and progression pathways.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators, including recruitment, retention, achievement, and student satisfaction.
- Ensure the effective implementation of quality assurance processes, including internal verification and continuous improvement.
- Support student recruitment, marketing activities, and employer engagement initiatives.
- Implement strategies to support learner progress, behaviour, and progression into higher education, apprenticeships, or employment.
- Work collaboratively across the College to ensure the effective use of resources and the delivery of a high-quality learner experience.

About You
An experienced curriculum leader with a strong understanding of Engineering and/or the Built Environment, you will be passionate about developing both people and provision. You will bring the vision, leadership and practical experience needed to support staff, strengthen the curriculum and create opportunities for learners to achieve and progress.
With the opportunity to shape Engineering and Built Environment provision through an exciting period of College development, you will bring a forward-thinking approach to curriculum development, employer engagement and progression, helping the department continue to grow and succeed.

Salary: £46,078 - £49,718 per annum
Recruitment Allowance: A recruitment allowance of up to £5,000 may be available for this hard-to-recruit role, in recognition of the specialist skills and experience required. The allowance is subject to the College’s terms and conditions and will be reviewed in accordance with College policy.
