Role Description
The Curriculum Manager SEND is a full-time, on-site role based in London, responsible for leading and managing SEND curriculum provision across the college. This role involves designing and reviewing inclusive curricula, ensuring that teaching, learning, and assessment meet the needs of learners with SEND and align with regulatory and quality standards. The Curriculum Manager SEND will coordinate programs, oversee timetables, monitor learner progress, and work closely with teaching staff to implement effective instructional strategies and support plans. Day-to-day tasks include mentoring and training staff, collaborating with support services and external partners, managing resources and budgets related to SEND provision, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. The role also requires regular reporting on outcomes, engaging with families and carers where appropriate, and promoting an inclusive, learner-centered culture.

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Curriculum Development and Instructional Design to create inclusive, high-quality learning programs for SEND learners.
- Candidates should possess skills in Training & Development to support, coach, and upskill teaching and support staff working with SEND learners.
- Candidates should possess skills in Program Management to oversee SEND provision, including planning, coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of courses and initiatives.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Education, ideally with experience in further education and special educational needs and disabilities.
- Relevant teaching or education-related qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) and experience working directly with SEND learners in a college or school setting.
- Knowledge of SEND legislation, best practices in inclusive education, and quality assurance processes within further education.
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with staff, learners, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to use data to inform decision-making, track learner progress, and drive continuous improvement in curriculum and provision.
