This is a great opportunity to develop a range of skills and knowledge to support the core college functions within the Chesterfield College Group, providing a support function to several staff members and curriculum areas that work remotely and across our multi-sites. You will be based at the Chesterfield Campus with occasional travel to the Derby campus as needed but this will be pre-planned and travel costs will be covered.
The successful candidate will develop an understanding of the Further Education sector while working within the role, with a key focus within the Engineering, Digital and Services to Business Team.
The successful candidate will join the existing administration team who look after all aspects of the training function as well as the organisational business needs.

Duties will be varied and require the individual to be multi-skilled and adaptable to change. Duties include:
- Phone and reception cover
- Email communications
- Scheduling and supporting meetings
- Minute taking
- Raising purchase orders
- Creating and maintaining spreadsheets
- Registering learners
- Liaising with students, employers and stakeholders
- Monitoring, chasing and reporting attendance
- Creating and maintaining resources and data
- A large part of the role will be working on our e-portfolio system to extract, analyse and report on key information to support the above curriculum areas
The successful candidate must have excellent and professional communication skills (written and verbal) to liaise with cross-college colleagues, learners, employers, external organisations, and parents. They must have strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively. Ability to work under pressure and have attention to detail. Knowledge of office technology packages, including word processing applications, spreadsheets, Microsoft Teams and Outlook is essential.
