We are looking for an experienced Curtain Fitter / Blind Fitter / Window Furnishings Installer to join an established and highly regarded business based in North West London as a Sales Estimator & Installer.
Previous hands-on experience fitting curtains and/or blinds is a key requirement for this position. If you've worked installing made-to-measure curtains, blinds, curtain tracks, poles or other window treatments, we'd particularly like to hear from you.
Offering a salary of circa £40,000, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fitter who wants to broaden their career into a more varied position encompassing surveying, measuring, estimating, customer service and sales, while still remaining hands-on with installations.
You'll visit customers in their homes and commercial premises, assess their requirements, accurately measure and survey, provide quotations and ultimately deliver and install products to an exceptional standard.
The Role
As a Sales Estimator & Installer, you'll be responsible for:
- Visiting customers across London and the surrounding area in their homes and commercial premises.
- Measuring and surveying windows accurately for curtains, blinds and associated window furnishings.
- Providing expert advice on curtains, blinds, tracks, poles, fittings and installation requirements.
- Assessing each job and producing accurate estimates and quotations.
- Installing curtains and blinds to a consistently high professional standard.
- Fitting curtain tracks, curtain poles, blinds and associated fixtures and fittings.
- Assessing different walls, windows, fixing surfaces and installation requirements.
- Identifying potential installation challenges before work commences.
- Delivering and installing customer goods safely and professionally.
- Identifying opportunities to sell additional curtains, blinds, window treatments and related products and services.
- Explaining products, services, guarantees and relevant policies clearly to customers.
- Handling customer questions, concerns and adjustments professionally.
- Managing your daily appointments and schedule to provide a reliable and punctual service.
- Completing quotations, invoices and supporting paperwork accurately.
- Maintaining your company vehicle, tools and installation equipment to a high standard.
- Working closely with colleagues across sales, operations and customer service to deliver an excellent end-to-end customer experience.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
