Job Title: Custody Operating Model Lead (Saudi Markets)
Contract Type: Temporary
Location: Manchester or London
Contract Length: 6 months
Working Pattern: 4 days per week in the office, via Umbrella Company
Our client, a leading player in the financial services sector, is seeking a Custody Operating Model Lead to spearhead the development of an end-to-end custody operating cash model tailored specifically for the Saudi markets. This dynamic role is perfect for a seasoned professional looking to make a significant impact in a temporary yet crucial position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and document the custody operating cash model across various markets.
- Conduct thorough current-state assessments to identify business, operational, and regulatory gaps.
- Facilitate engaging requirements workshops with stakeholders across Product, Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Client Service.
- Define target-state processes, establish controls, clarify roles, and document operating procedures.
- Gather and document Saudi cash market requirements, ensuring compliance with EDAA, Tadawul, and other regulatory obligations.
- Produce detailed process maps, requirements documentation, and RACI models to guide implementation.
- Support implementation planning, governance, and readiness reviews to ensure seamless transition.
- Coordinate effectively with both internal stakeholders and external advisors to validate the operating model design.

Experience and Skills Required:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Extensive experience within the Saudi capital markets and treasury operations.
- Proven expertise in operating model design, specifically within custody, asset servicing, or financial market infrastructure.
- A strong understanding of custody operations, including settlement, cash management, and asset servicing.
- A track record of delivering large-scale market entry, regulatory, or transformation programmes.
- The ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable business and operational capabilities.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Deep product management expertise complemented by outstanding leadership and influencing abilities.
- Strong business judgement, empowering informed decision-making.
