Customer Account Manager Maternity Cover

Location: Dungannon, Northern Ireland
Working arrangement: Primarily onsite, with 2 work-from-home days per month
Employment: 9 months maternity cover
Salary: £30,000-35,000 dependant on experience

The Role

Mackle Food Company is looking for a motivated and commercially focused Account Manager to join our Commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong customer relationships, developing accounts and working across a fast-paced food manufacturing business. You will take responsibility for managing key customer accounts, acting as their main point of contact while working closely with our Commercial, Production, Quality, NPD, Procurement and Supply Chain teams to ensure we deliver an excellent service.

A key part of the role will be identifying opportunities to grow and develop existing accounts, supporting new product launches and building long-term partnerships with our customers.

  • Manage and develop relationships with key customer accounts.
  • Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day commercial and account requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to grow sales, volumes and product ranges within existing accounts.
  • Conduct regular customer meetings.
  • Support pricing reviews, commercial proposals and customer negotiations.
  • Work with customers to understand forecasts, future requirements and new opportunities.
  • Coordinate customer projects and new product launches with internal teams.
  • Monitor account performance, including sales, volumes, quality and service levels.
  • Proactively manage customer issues and coordinate actions through to resolution.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are understood and delivered.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in Account Management, Sales or a customer-facing commercial role.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Commercially minded with an understanding of sales.
  • Proactive, organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Confident working with data, Microsoft Powerpoint and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively across different departments.
  • FMCG or food manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience supporting new product launches and account growth would be desirable.

You will combine a strong customer focus with commercial awareness and be comfortable identifying opportunities, solving problems and working collaboratively to deliver results.
