Spear-Heads Recruitment is looking for an experienced Customer Account/Sales Manager to join a growing Cranes & Lifting business. The role combines account management, business development and technical sales, with a strong focus on growing existing accounts, winning new customers and increasing service and maintenance contract revenue.

The Role

You will:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with key contacts and decision-makers.
  • Identify opportunities for service contracts, maintenance, repairs, lifting equipment and project work.
  • Follow up quotations and convert repair and remedial work into orders.
  • Develop new business through prospecting, networking, referrals and customer visits.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals and manage opportunities through the full sales cycle.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and work towards agreed commercial targets.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

  • 2+ years’ experience in sales, account management or business development.
  • Experience within engineering, cranes & lifting, heavy industry or another technical environment is highly desirable.
  • A proven ability to develop accounts, win new business and achieve sales targets.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation and commercial skills.
  • A proactive, organised and results-focused approach.
  • CRM and Microsoft Office experience.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Salary & Bonus

  • Competitive salary depending on experience, with a base salary of up to £45,000
  • Quarterly bonus of up to £5,000 (£20,000 OTE if targets are achieved)
  • Annual bonus of up to £10,000 if targets are achieved
