What you’ll be responsible for
We're looking for passionate Welsh speakers to join our Customer Hwb team as Welsh Language Advisors.
This is a varied and rewarding role where you'll support customers through a range of billing and operational enquiries across multiple channels, including telephone, webchat, email and social media. No two days are the same, and you'll play a key role in helping customers while promoting Welsh language services across the business.
At Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water, we know that diverse teams are the most successful teams. Equality, diversity and inclusion are at the heart of our culture, and we want everyone to feel confident, proud and able to bring their whole selves to work.
You'll use your Welsh and English language skills to provide excellent customer service, resolve complex enquiries and ensure customers receive the right support at the right time.
You'll be:
- Supporting customers through multiple channels in both Welsh and English.
- Helping customers with enquiries relating to their bills, payments, water and wastewater services.
- Using your problem-solving skills to resolve a wide range of customer queries.
- Taking ownership of customer cases and aiming to resolve issues at the first point of contact.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and other departments to find the best outcomes for customers.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and ensuring GDPR compliance.
- Managing customer requests through shared inboxes and digital channels.
- Supporting business campaigns and responding to emerging customer issues and trends.
- Participating in a standby rota when required.
- Representing Welsh Water at community and public events, including Welsh language events such as the Eisteddfod and Royal Welsh Show.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
