What you’ll be doing
- Getting the store ready for the day ahead by filling shelves, working at a good steady pace throughout the night and being prepared to work with a variety of product types
- Keeping your workspace tidy for other colleagues and making sure our aisles are clean, presentable and ready for our customers the next day
- Collecting and moving stock safely from the warehouse to the shopfloor, including heavy equipment and containers
- Working across different parts of the store, which could include chilled and frozen areas
- Using equipment, handsets and digital systems to complete your work accurately and safely
- Helping in other areas when needed, which could include picking online orders or serving customers at checkouts once you’re trained and confident

As a Customer Assistant on nights, you’ll be the special ingredient that helps our stores run brilliantly by bringing energy to our fast-paced environment, thriving as part of a team and embracing our commitment to give our customers everything they come to Sainsbury’s for, day in day out.
