Are you a people person with a passion for helping your local community? We are looking for a welcoming, proactive Pharmacy Customer Assistant to be the friendly face of our pharmacy.
Unlike a Dispensing Assistant, who works behind the scenes in the dispensary accurately preparing and assembling prescription medications, your domain is the front of house. You will focus entirely on patient care, retail service, over-the-counter sales, and creating an excellent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Front-of-House Excellence: Greet patients, handle general OTC inquiries, and process retail sales at the till.
- Patient Triage: Listen to customer symptoms and confidently recommend suitable over-the-counter products, or escalate to the Pharmacist when necessary.
- Prescription Management: Collect prescription details from arriving patients and hand over completed, checked medicines safely.
- Stock & Merchandising: Maintain well-stocked, clean shop shelves, manage retail inventory, and set up seasonal promotional displays.
- Healthcare Advice: Provide basic healthcare guidance on everyday wellness, from winter cold care to skincare (training provided).
In return for your hard work we will offer you:
- Fully flexible shift patterns
- Six weeks holiday (including bank holidays)
- 15% discount in our supermarkets and convenience stores available from the day you join us
- Additional 10% discount card for a Friend or Family member
- Career progression and development opportunities
- Subsidised in store cafe or shop floor ranges
- Competitive pension and life assurance
- Healthcare/Well-being benefits including Aviva Digital GP
- Morrisons MyPerks with discounts at high street shops, cinemas and gyms, and lots more
- Optional Payroll charity donations
- A range of family friendly policies including 26 weeks maternity and adoption leave along with neonatal and fertility leave

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
