Warehouse Customer Assistant - Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
About the Role
Willen Hospice is looking for a friendly, organised, and hardworking Warehouse Customer Assistant to join the team at its Kiln Farm Distribution Centre in Milton Keynes. This role supports the day-to-day warehouse operation while providing a welcoming and helpful service to supporters donating goods.
The successful candidate will help move and organise stock, assist with donations and deliveries, promote Gift Aid, maintain an organised warehouse, and work closely with Team Leaders and volunteers. This is an opportunity to contribute directly to a charitable organisation that raises vital funds to provide specialist palliative care in the Milton Keynes area.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily warehouse operations by moving, organising, and allocating stock for distribution.
- Greet and assist supporters donating goods with a friendly and courteous service.
- Encourage donors to sign up for Gift Aid to help maximise charitable income.
- Complete Gift Aid paperwork and apply Gift Aid labels to relevant stock.
- Assist with the safe collection and delivery of donated goods.
- Load and unload donated goods safely and in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
- Store and rotate furniture and other stock to maintain an organised warehouse.
- Work closely with Team Leaders and volunteers to support smooth warehouse operations.
- Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, organised, and functional.
- Follow organisational policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Follow all relevant Health and Safety regulations.
- Support the charity in maximising income from donated goods.
