Department: Customer Operations - Energy Billing Team
Reports to: Billing Team Manager
Location: Manchester / Hybrid
The Opportunity
We’re looking for someone who loves building great, lasting relationships with customers and stakeholders alike. The role requires an expert in producing clear, accurate and timely bills and the drive to manage their own customers with integrity.
Reporting to the Energy Billing Team Lead, this role is responsible for the end-to-end relationship management of several high-value commercial electricity, hot water, and heating accounts across our private site portfolio. You will also be accountable for the production of timely and accurate bills, query handling and supporting the wider Energy team within Customer Operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure monthly private network bills are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- End-to-end relationship management for key accounts, including site visits.
- Drive accurate correspondence production to ensure payments are received on time.
- Handle complex enquiries received from your customers regarding bill value, meter reads, etc.
- Responsible for day-to-day administration to improve data sets within your portfolio.
- Understanding and produce key performance metric (KPI’s) reports.
- Investigate complex customer bills and provide clear outcomes for customers.
- Work towards improving processes to deliver higher billing accuracy.
- Work as part of a wider team to improve overall customer satisfaction.
- Lead on and off site and virtual meetings with external stakeholders to build meaningful customer relationships.
- Support on collection activities for your customer base when required.

About You
- Billing expert with extensive knowledge of Utilities billing.
- Advanced Excel skills including pivots; with strong investigation/analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of reporting.
- Ability to learn and adapt with changing priorities.
- A can-do attitude; providing support for high value customers.
- Great relationship management skills; building lasting relationships with your customers.
- Proactively seeks out missed revenue opportunities.
- Always on the lookout to do things better.
