Out 'n' About is a UK-designed pushchair brand for families who love getting outdoors. Our all-terrain buggies, led by our flagship Nipper, are built for parks, trails, beaches and everyday life, and are trusted by a loyal community of parents.
We're a growing business based in Bedford, and we're adding two people to our customer care team.
The role
You'll be the first voice many of our customers hear. You'll help parents with everything from choosing the right buggy to after-sales support, and make sure every customer feels looked after.
Key responsibilities
- Answer customer enquiries by email, live chat, phone and social media, using Gorgias, our customer care platform
- Make outbound calls to customers, such as order follow-ups, feedback calls and reaching out to people who have shown interest in our products
- Help parents choose the right pushchair and accessories for their family and lifestyle
- Handle orders, deliveries, returns, exchanges and refunds quickly and accurately
- Support customers with product questions, set-up, care and maintenance
- Manage warranty claims and faults, including arranging spare parts and repairs
- Log recurring product issues and feedback, and share them with the product and operations teams
- Support retail partners with order and product queries when needed
- Meet our service standards for response times and customer satisfaction
- Keep help centre articles, FAQs and saved replies up to date

About you
Essential:
- Experience in a customer care or customer service role
- Excellent written and spoken English, with a warm, friendly and professional tone
- Confident on the phone, and comfortable making outbound calls as well as taking inbound ones
- A patient, problem-solving approach, even with frustrated customers
- Well organised and able to manage a busy inbox with care and accuracy
- Confident using computers and learning new systems
- Available to work full time from our Bedford office, 5 days a week
- The right to work in the UK

Desirable:
- An understanding of the buggy or baby products market
- Experience using Gorgias
- Experience working for an ecommerce or direct-to-consumer brand
- Practical confidence with products, such as explaining how to fold a pushchair or change a tyre
- An interest in sales, and the ambition to develop into a sales development role
What we offer
