Customer Care Expert (Membership Closures) - 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Join the RAC as a Customer Care Expert and help deliver fair, positive outcomes for members throughout their membership journey.
This is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract based at our Bradley Stoke, Bristol office, working Monday to Friday. As part of our Customer Care team, you'll take ownership of member enquiries, complaints and cancellation requests, ensuring every interaction is handled with professionalism, empathy and care.
What You'll Do
- Manage membership closure requests, complaints and enquiries from start to finish across phone, email, letter and social media channels.
- Investigate member concerns and provide clear, fair and timely resolutions.
- Handle FCA-regulated complaints in line with business processes and regulatory requirements.
- Support member retention by understanding individual circumstances and identifying appropriate solutions where possible.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure every case is resolved efficiently and right first time.

What You'll Need
- Strong communication and listening skills, both written and verbal.
- Previous experience handling customer enquiries, complaints, cancellations or retention conversations.
- A resilient and professional approach when managing challenging or sensitive situations.
- The confidence to take ownership of cases and make informed decisions.
- Good IT, literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to work across multiple systems.
