About The Role

This full-time Customer Care Specialist position in Tamworth suits a skilled Customer Service or Internal Sales professional. Working with Pertemps North Midlands, the successful applicant coordinates customer requirements, prepares service and aftermarket quotations, and follows up on enquiries through to completion. Strong relationship-building abilities, organisational skills and confidence in handling orders are essential. The role involves supporting aftermarket sales and managing workloads with genuine ownership. A salary of £31,000 to £35,000 per annum is offered. Candidates should demonstrate experience within a similar customer-facing or internal sales setting, ideally from the industrial sector, and the ability to manage varied tasks whilst maintaining excellent service standards throughout each customer journey.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and wants to take real ownership of their customers, orders and workload. You’ll play a key role in coordinating customer requirements, supporting aftermarket sales and ensuring an excellent experience from start to finish.

What will you be doing?

  • Preparing service and aftermarket quotations and following up to secure orders
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell additional products and services
  • Processing customer orders for parts and service visits
  • Coordinating and scheduling service engineers
  • Following up on customer contracts, including renewals and replacements
  • Managing customer and order information using SAP and Salesforce
  • Liaising with internal teams to ensure stock and parts are available when required
  • Progress chasing orders and deliveries to meet customer deadlines
  • Coordinating equipment deliveries
  • Processing repair quotations and liaising with subcontractors
  • Preparing dispatch paperwork ready for invoicing
  • Supporting with cash collection and outstanding payments
  • Maintaining accurate customer records and CRM information
  • Providing general administrative support when required
  • Ensuring an excellent level of customer service throughout

We’re looking for someone who is confident, organised, proactive and commercially minded, with the ability to build strong relationships and manage multiple priorities.

Ideally, You Will Have

  • 5+ years’ experience within customer service, internal sales or a similar position
  • Experience managing customer orders and/or service activities within an industrial environment
  • Experience within the water treatment industry would be highly advantageous, but isn't essential
  • Experience using SAP and Salesforce
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Brilliant attention to detail and organisational skills
  • The confidence to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
  • The ability to work effectively in a busy, deadline-driven environment
  • A proactive, assertive and goal-oriented approach
