Customer Category Manager

FMCG | West Yorkshire | Hybrid | FMCG Brands & OL

This is not a traditional category management role.

We are looking for a commercially minded category leader to take on a newly created and genuinely important position within a successful, growing FMCG business.

Working at the heart of the commercial team, this person will turn category data, customer insight and market intelligence into clear, practical actions that create measurable value for customers and the business.

The role will have a direct influence on customer strategy, revenue, margin and future growth. You will work closely with senior sales, marketing and business leaders, while partnering directly with major UK retailers to identify opportunities across branded and own-label market dynamics.

The opportunity will suit someone who can move confidently between detailed analysis and commercial action. You will need to understand what the data is saying, identify where value can be created and translate that into a compelling story that customers and internal teams can act upon.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
