Customer Contact Consultant
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Join Aberdein Considine’s Lender Services Practice Group and make a real difference to customers’ financial journeys. We’re looking for a Customer Contact Consultant to join our growing Newcastle team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting customers, delivering outstanding service, and helping individuals find sustainable solutions during challenging financial circumstances.
About the Role
As a Customer Contact Consultant, you’ll be at the heart of our customer experience—handling inbound and outbound calls, understanding individual circumstances, and identifying the best outcomes for both our clients and customers.
You’ll work within a supportive, high-performing team and contribute to delivering a consistent, high-quality service aligned with client SLAs and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Contact customers regarding arrears and discuss their financial situations
- Use effective questioning to understand circumstances and agree realistic repayment solutions
- Conduct affordability assessments to determine sustainable outcomes
- Handle inbound and outbound calls with professionalism and empathy
- Identify and support vulnerable customers appropriately
- Maintain accurate records, including complaints and case updates
- Deliver against performance targets and client scorecards
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent communication and telephone skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational ability
- Confident in negotiation and problem-solving
- Ability to remain resilient and perform under pressure
- IT proficiency with experience using digital systems
