Aurizon’s Coal Customer team is seeking a Customer Coordinator to join the team on a 12-month contract. In this role, your daily decisions impact Aurizon’s bottom line!

You will be a key connection between Aurizon’s coal haulage business, our customers and the Operations teams. You will help ensure train schedules are delivered, customer enquiries are managed effectively and a high standard of service is maintained. As a first point of contact for coal customer reporting, engagement and inbound enquiries, you will work closely with Operations Management to support frontline teams, resolve customer matters and contribute to continuous improvement.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Receive, prioritise and authorise the demand signal for our Operations Teams.
  • Day to day management of customer account enquiries including orders, variations and network incidents.
  • Reporting and analysis of customer cost recoveries.
  • Attendance and active participation at Supply Chain forums.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Support Key Account Management Team.
  • Implement customer experience and operational improvement initiatives.

About You:

You are a resilient and customer-focused professional with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships, troubleshoot challenges, negotiate effectively and deliver outcomes in a customer-facing environment:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or a minimum of 4-5 years supply chain experience.
  • High level of analytical skills in interpretation of performance data to identify and develop solutions.
  • Effective communication skills in influencing, persuading, counselling and motivating stakeholders, peers and teams.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships.
  • High level of communication skills including interpersonal, written and oral.
