Junior Data Analyst
Department: Ecommerce (Data & Insights)
Reports to: Senior Customer Analyst
Location: Kingston-on-Thames
Hours: 37.5

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
As a Junior Data Analyst, you’ll support the Data & Insights team in delivering analysis, reporting and insight across ecommerce and retail channels. Working closely with the Senior Customer Analyst, you’ll help prepare data, build dashboards, and assist in translating performance into actionable business learnings.
You’ll gain exposure to the Group’s data strategy, tooling, and modelling approach — with opportunities to grow your technical and commercial skills through on-the-job learning and mentorship.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of customer and performance insights across ecommerce and retail
- Assist in preparing datasets and maintaining reports for stakeholders across trading, product, digital, and retail teams
- Help design and maintain dashboards and visual reports using tools such as Power BI and Looker Studio
- Assist in analysing customer journeys, campaign performance and ecommerce behaviour
- Translate data into insight summaries and visual outputs that support decision-making
- Learn and apply foundational concepts in segmentation, forecasting, and attribution over time
- Collaborate cross-functionally to understand stakeholder needs and develop analysis that drives action
Key Skills And Experience
- A strong academic background in a mathematical, analytical or technical subject (e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Physics, Computer Science)
- Demonstrable interest in data, analytics, or ecommerce through academic projects, internships or early work experience
- Basic knowledge of Excel and an interest in developing skills in SQL and BI tools
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with an eagerness to learn from others
- Strong communication skills and willingness to engage with both data teams and commercial colleagues
- A proactive, curious mindset with the ability to ask questions and explore solutions
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines in a fast-paced environment

DESIRABLE
- Exposure to any data visualisation or analytics platforms (Power BI, Looker Studio, etc.)
- Familiarity with ecommerce environments or consumer-facing brands
- Any experience using Google Analytics, or CRM platforms like Ometria or ContentSquare is a plus
