Customer Delivery Engineer - Assured Data Protection
Location: UK (Hybrid)
Job Type: Full-time
Role: Hybrid Leeds office (Thorpe Park) / remote and occasionally may require travel to the US

Job Summary
The Customer Delivery Engineer III will be responsible for tasks relating to Disaster Recovery Tests, environment maintenance, and documentation management. This role will be on part of the team responsible for ensuring the Disaster Recovery (DR) readiness of all of Assured’s customer base, implementing new customers, and ensuring that tests go smoothly. The best candidates need to have excellent oral and written communication skills in addition to technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Conduct kickoff calls to begin the Implementation process
- Gather customer information for the purpose of deploying Assured Data Protection Solutions
- Perform Scripted and manual recoveries of multiple virtual machines, physical machines, and application types using the Rubrik platform
- Provide feedback on improving internal processes and customer-facing processes
- Troubleshoot and maintain
- Customer runbooks
- Methods of recovery within the environment
- Supported DR infrastructure
- Assist customers in troubleshooting technical issues related to recovery
- Switch and Firewall configuration (pfSense)
- Assist in troubleshooting complex support issues
- Complete documentation of process / procedures and diagrams of completed work in JIRA and Zendesk.

Accountabilities and Performance Measures
- Shows appropriate precaution and care in handling production systems
- Displays consistent growth in understanding of Assured Systems
- Completes tasks within reasonably prescribed periods
- Completes training and achieves Rubrik Certified Systems Administrator
Organisational Alignment
- Reports to the Director of Customer Delivery
- Enlists the support of technical and management resources as needed
- Participate in weekly stand-ups and projects
- Work with customers on outstanding issues surrounding Disaster Recovery preparation, testing, and invocation
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified in systems administration or equivalent work Experience or Technical certifications
- Minimum of 5 years working with IT systems
- Experience with
- Virtualization systems (VMware, Nutanix, Hyper-V)
- Network configurations (IP addressing, Gateways, DNS, etc.)
- PfSense firewall setup and configuration
- Engineering tools for troubleshooting connectivity
- SQL Server experience
- Backup and recovery solutions for virtual environments
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Advanced proficiency in Windows and Linux Operating systems
- Active Directory Experience
- Bare Metal Recovery processes for Linux and Microsoft operating systems
- Experience with Azure or AWS environments a plus
