Customer Delivery Van Driver

Full-time | Monday- Friday | £33,421.44 + Bonus up to £95 per week.

Deliver outstanding customer service while ensuring safe, timely and accurate deliveries across our network.

We're seeking a reliable and professional Customer Delivery Van Driver to join our delivery team. If you take pride in safe driving, enjoy meeting customers and can work efficiently to meet delivery schedules, we'd like to hear from you.

This is a hands-on customer-facing role. You will be responsible for collecting, transporting and delivering goods in excellent condition, maintaining accurate records and representing the company positively at every customer touchpoint.

What you'll be doing

As a Customer Delivery Van Driver, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Safely operate company vehicles to collect and deliver goods according to planned routes and schedules.
  • Load and unload parcels and items with care, using appropriate handling techniques to protect goods.
  • Complete delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery (POD) accurately and promptly.
  • Provide a helpful, courteous and professional service when interacting with customers at delivery locations.
  • Report any delivery issues, damaged goods or customer queries to the operations team and follow company procedures.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and basic condition of the vehicle; report maintenance or safety concerns immediately.
  • Adhere to road safety rules, company policies and health & safety regulations at all times.
  • Assist with warehouse duties when required, including loading vehicles and preparing routes for the next day.
  • Work with colleagues and supervisors to improve route efficiency and customer satisfaction.

What we're looking for

You'll be a conscientious and customer-focused driver with the following skills and experience:

  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Previous experience in a delivery or driving role preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
  • Good customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and politely.
  • Physically able to lift and carry parcels safely throughout the shift.
  • Basic numeracy and the ability to complete delivery documentation accurately.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work under time pressures while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional early starts, late finishes or weekend work during peak periods.
  • Experience using handheld devices or electronic proof of delivery systems is desirable.
  • Right to work in the UK.
