Customer Design Authority – Cloud

£80,000 + Benefits

UK Wide | Hybrid / Customer Facing

Are you an experienced Cloud Architect, Solutions Architect or Technical Design Authority ready to take the next step beyond individual project delivery? InfraView is exclusively recruiting a Customer Design Authority – Cloud for one of the UK's leading Managed Services & Technology Solutions Providers.

This is a senior, strategic and highly customer-facing position where you'll become the trusted technical authority for a portfolio of major enterprise customers. Rather than simply designing a solution, delivering a project and moving onto the next one, you'll take ownership of the customer's wider technology strategy – working directly with CIOs, Heads of IT and senior technology leaders to define roadmaps, shape investment decisions and ensure their technology continues to support their business objectives.

MSP / IT Solutions Provider experience is ESSENTIAL We're specifically looking for candidates who have worked within a Managed Service Provider, IT Solutions Provider, VAR, Systems Integrator or Technology Consultancy environment. This role requires someone accustomed to managing multiple external customer relationships and technology environments rather than supporting a single internal IT estate.

The Role

You'll operate across Pre-Sales, Professional Services and Managed Services, providing architectural leadership throughout the customer lifecycle. You'll be responsible for:

  • Becoming the trusted technical advisor to a portfolio of enterprise customers
  • Building strong relationships with CIOs, Heads of IT and senior stakeholders
  • Understanding customers' business objectives and translating them into technology strategy
  • Defining Cloud, Infrastructure and Technology Roadmaps
  • Providing architectural governance across complex customer environments
  • Working within Enterprise Architecture frameworks and design principles
  • Translating business requirements into architectural building blocks
  • Reviewing and approving High-Level Designs, Low-Level Designs and Scopes of Work
  • Providing architectural input into major customer transformation projects
  • Working closely with Pre-Sales and Solutions Architecture teams on new solutions and enhancements
  • Supporting Professional Services and Operational teams with complex technical challenges
  • Identifying opportunities to modernise, optimise and transform customer environments
  • Reviewing capacity, lifecycle, End-of-Support and End-of-Sale requirements
  • Helping customers optimise their technology investments
  • Identifying technical and commercial opportunities across your accounts
  • Ensuring customer solutions remain secure, relevant, scalable and commercially effective

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
