Customer Director – Life Sciences (Applied AI)
Discover International is working with a well-established applied AI company with more than a decade of experience delivering production AI for organisations in highly regulated sectors, including healthcare, government, financial services and energy. They have a reputation for practical, responsible AI that produces measurable business results rather than following the latest trend. They bring deep technical, product and delivery capability to every engagement. As the business keeps growing, they are expanding their commercial leadership team.
The Life Sciences Practice
Developing new therapies and getting them to patients is slow, costly and uncertain. My client's Life Sciences practice exists to change that. They build AI solutions that speed up research, sharpen decision-making and improve how treatments are brought to market. They work with global pharmaceutical companies, leading academic research institutions and fast-growing MedTech businesses to solve some of healthcare's hardest problems.
The Opportunity
This is a senior, client-facing leadership role that owns and grows a portfolio of strategically important Life Sciences accounts. You'll be a trusted advisor to client leadership, showing them how AI-driven decision-making can transform their operations and how they engage with patients and customers. You'll lead a team of delivery and engagement professionals and be accountable for commercial outcomes, from shaping and negotiating deals through to making sure complex Applied AI programmes deliver real value.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
