About The Role
Based in either our Newport or Swansea office, you'll join our Customer Experience team and work closely with the Customer Engagement Manager to ensure customers' voices help shape our services.
This is a hybrid role with a mix of office, home and community-based working. You'll spend time meeting customers, supporting community groups, attending events, and working on engagement projects across our communities.
No two days are the same. You'll support customer involvement activities, gather feedback, help run customer groups, and work with colleagues to turn customer insight into positive change. You'll also come together with the wider team for a monthly team meeting.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about customer engagement, building relationships and making a real difference in local communities.
Skills And Experience Needed
We're looking for someone who is passionate about customer engagement and committed to delivering excellent customer service. You'll have experience of supporting or delivering customer involvement activities and be confident building positive relationships with a wide range of people. You'll be an excellent communicator with the ability to engage, motivate and support customers to have a genuine voice in shaping services. Experience of working collaboratively, managing multiple priorities, and adapting your approach to meet the needs of different customer groups is essential. A good understanding of customer involvement methods, equality, diversity and inclusion, and the importance of listening to and acting on customer feedback will help you succeed in this role. Experience within social housing and knowledge of customer scrutiny or co-regulation would be advantageous.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
