💼 About the Role
The Customer Engagement Manager (CEM) plays a key role within the global Deal Services organisation, part of the larger Global Technical Sales team. This integral position demands the ability to:
- Define Deal Services solutions based on client business needs within a designated region.
- Collaborate closely with core stakeholders, including:
- Field Sales
- Sales Engineers
- Customer Success
- Legal teams
Additionally, the CEM will engage collaboratively with Marketing, Project Management Office (PMO), Security Operations Centre (SOC), Technology Operations, Finance/Billing, and Product Management.

📋 Responsibilities
- Engage clients (including advisors, corporates, and other stakeholders) to discover, scope, and sell Deals Services offerings.
- Understand client business needs, gather requirements, and recommend best practices through direct client interaction.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to assemble solutions that meet client demands.
- Prepare cost and timeline estimates, while managing client expectations and handling opportunities.
- Manage and monitor sales pipeline for Deal Services.
- Communicate requirements and litigation to the Deal Service delivery team for execution.
- Drive sales initiatives within the Field Sales organisation to enhance Deal Services performance.
📎 Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field.
Experience & Skills
- 3+ years in a sales-type, customer-facing role.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including:
- Customer Service
- Product Management
- Field Sales
- Pre-sales
- Legal, Marketing, and Finance
- Strategic thinking – capability to analyse business, product, and technical challenges, and convey compelling value propositions.
- Organisational skills: Ability to handle multiple opportunities within tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills – listening, oral, and written.
- Self-starter traits, including independent working and prioritisation.
- Adaptability: capability to operate in a fast-paced environment, think outside the box, and perform under pressure.
- Experience working with diverse stakeholder groups, including:
- Customers
- Colleagues
- Management
- Project teams
- Ideally, a background combining large corporate and entrepreneurial experiences.
- Strong understanding of financial markets (e.g., M&A, corporate financing, loans, asset management, private equity).
- Detailed and goal-oriented mindset.
