Customer Engagement Manager
The UK, Germany, and International Public Sector (UKGI PS) organisation is hiring a Customer Engagement Manager to lead specific customer engagement initiatives and strategies. This role sits within the Front Office team and will drive the design, execution, and measurement of engagement programmes that accelerate customer outcomes and deepen AWS relationships with priority public sector accounts.
UKGI PS serves some of the most complex and consequential organisations across worldwide public sector. The Customer Engagement Manager will shape how AWS engages with public sector at the highest levels. The engagements this person designs and delivers will directly influence executive relationships and pipeline outcomes.
The Customer Engagement Manager owns initiatives end-to-end. This role is responsible for identifying which customers to engage, designing the engagement approach, building repeatable mechanisms, and tracking outcomes that move accounts forward. The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, working cross-functionally with Account Managers, Solutions Architects, Partners, and executive stakeholders to create engagement experiences that earn customer trust and generate measurable pipeline impact.
This is not a support function. It is a leadership role within the Front Office that requires independent judgement, senior stakeholder management, and the ability to operate across multiple concurrent initiatives with minimal direction. As the engagement function matures, so does the scope and influence of this role.
Key Job Responsibilities
Customer Engagement Strategy — Develop and own engagement initiatives for priority UKGI PS accounts, aligned to revenue and adoption goals. Identify and prioritise customers and partners for engagement programmes in collaboration with Account Managers and cross-functional stakeholders. Design engagement journeys mapping the right format (EBC, executive visit, workshop, roundtable) to each stage of the customer lifecycle, and build playbooks that codify success for the wider sales organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Engagement Delivery — Manage end-to-end delivery of customer engagements: scoping, stakeholder alignment, content development, logistics, execution, and follow-through. Own the briefing-document process, coordinate executive participation, and drive post-engagement actions to closure.
