Job Overview:
We are seeking a Customer Engineer to provide advanced desktop installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and end-user support services, ensuring high levels of technical performance and customer satisfaction. The role also includes basic Windows server administration and break-fix support, requiring strong hardware and software expertise, relevant vendor certifications, and the ability to resolve complex technical issues in enterprise environments.

Rate:
- An hourly rate, in-scope IR35, of £14.90 (PAYE)
- OR £19.34 per hour (via a Hays Approved Umbrella Company)

Contract Length:
21 Sep 2026 – 20 Sep 2027
Work Schedule:
Monday – Friday (9:00 – 17:30)
Key Requirements
- Provide intermediate to advanced desktop installation, configuration, support, and troubleshooting services.
- Deliver onsite and remote technical support for end-user computing environments.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and operating system issues.
- Perform installation, configuration, administration, and basic break-fix support for Windows (Wintel) servers.
- Support and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and related IT infrastructure.
- Leverage strong hardware and software expertise to resolve technical incidents efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with vendor best practices and technical standards.
- Hold relevant vendor certifications and accreditations through approved training programs.
- Deliver high levels of customer service while meeting SLA and operational requirements.
