Rat Race Customer Experience Assistant

In recent years, Rat Race has expanded fully onto the global stage, delivering bold, audacious concepts across the UK and internationally.
This is a new position and we’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Customer Experience Assistant with an interest in the outdoors to join our expanding team working closely with the Customer Experience team to deliver excellent customer service across all our channels.
This role offers the flexibility of remote working; however candidates will need to be within commutable distance of our Thirsk/Easingwold office as this role requires some office contact time and this is enhanced during live event delivery weeks.
Key Objectives
- Reply to incoming enquiries on a daily basis and liaise with team members to administrate requests promptly.
- Assist the team with all aspects of the customer journey to ensure a fantastic experience for our #ratracers.
- Head up accommodation, travel and vehicle bookings for crew on our UK mass participation events.
- Support the volunteer coordinator with volunteer/temporary staff recruitment process online and surrounding admin and outgoing communications where required.
- Support the Customer Experience Manager with pre-event customer comms where required.

This role requires event attendance at multiple events throughout the UK particularly to support and help run Registration.

- Ultra Tour of Edinburgh

About you
- A people person who thrives on interacting with customers and helping create a great experience.
- Excellent grasp of spoken and written English.
- Strong written and communication skills.
- Organised, proactive and keen to learn.
- Proficiency with basic IT packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to work with spreadsheets is essential.
- A keen interest in the outdoors and the ability to work outside in dynamic environments.
- Driving License essential and non-negotiable.
- Previous customer facing role experience preferred.
- Excellent administration skills essential and the ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects necessary.
- You must be willing and able to attend Rat Race’s Thirsk/Easingwold HQ 2 days per week.
- You must be able to attend most of our key UK mass participation events.

Salary: £27,000 per annum + performance based bonus scheme after 6 months of service
