Customer Experience Consultant

At Maersk, we are simplifying global trade by connecting and simplifying our customers' supply chains. We are looking for a Customer Experience Consultant to join our team in Felixstowe, where you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding customer experience while supporting operational planning activities in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Working closely with customers, transport partners, and internal teams, you will manage time-critical activities, interpret operational data, and ensure effective coordination to deliver the best possible outcomes for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by managing customer enquiries and supporting the end-to-end planning process.
  • Coordinate daily transport and planning activities, responding effectively to last-minute operational changes and customer requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, transport providers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in customer calls and act as a key point of contact for operational discussions.
  • Interpret and analyse operational data to support planning decisions and ensure service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate planning information and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple internal teams to resolve issues and deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Prioritise competing tasks effectively in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the customer experience.

  • Customer-focused with a passion for delivering excellent service.
  • Comfortable communicating confidently with customers over the phone and through other communication channels.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Highly adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and use it to support planning activities.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Your Profile

You enjoy working in a customer-facing environment where no two days are the same. You thrive in a fast-paced setting, are comfortable managing changing priorities, and enjoy building strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Experience in a customer service or customer-facing role.
  • Experience within logistics, transport, haulage, supply chain, or planning is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience managing customer enquiries or escalations is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with operational data.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Confidence working with data to support planning and operational decision-making.
  • The ability to communicate professionally with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels.
