Customer Experience Executive
People remember how a conversation made them feel, particularly when they are deciding whether to trust a service they have not used before. A clear explanation builds confidence. Careful listening makes the exchange relevant. Respect after a customer says no matters just as much as professionalism when they say yes. This role is for someone who understands that experience is created through those details.
Sage is recruiting a Customer Experience Executive to represent established campaigns through in-person customer engagement. You may already have useful experience from retail, hospitality, reception, leisure, care, community work or another public-facing setting. Applicants beginning their career can also be considered when they can demonstrate maturity, communication and reliability through education, volunteering or personal responsibilities.
You will work on site on a full-time basis, Monday through Friday.
A day built around the customer
Preparing for the day
You will begin by making sure that your campaign knowledge is current. This includes the service being represented, the approved information, the intended audience and any update that affects what customers need to know. You will clarify uncertainty before speaking on behalf of the campaign.
Preparation also means understanding the day's objective and having the required information or materials ready. The customer should not receive an inconsistent explanation because something was overlooked at the start of the day.
Creating the conversation
During campaign activity, you will approach prospective customers face to face and begin a professional conversation. You will ask questions, listen to the response and establish whether the service may be relevant. The aim is not to repeat the same speech to everyone. A useful conversation responds to what the person has said while keeping every important fact accurate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
When a customer shows interest, you will explain the service clearly and give them room to make an informed decision. If they choose to proceed, you will complete the required steps carefully. If they need time, have a concern or decline, you will respond without pressure or argument.
The work includes activity and conversion expectations. Meeting those expectations should never depend on vague promises or incomplete information. Customer care and commercial performance are strongest when the person understands what they are agreeing to.
Closing the loop
After each outcome, you will complete the necessary record and note anything requiring attention. Accuracy matters because campaign teams rely on this information to understand performance and identify recurring issues.
Useful feedback is specific. If several customers ask the same question, you should be able to explain what they found unclear and at which point it arose. A statement that people appeared confused is less useful than a concise example that can be reviewed.
Improving tomorrow's standard
Regular feedback will help you identify practical improvements. You might work on the way you establish a need, the clarity of one explanation or how you confirm the next step. You will apply the agreed adjustment consistently enough to understand whether it helped.
Support and coaching are available, but development requires participation. You must be willing to examine your performance, make notes, ask useful questions and try again after a difficult interaction.

The realities that matter
This is an active, customer-facing position rather than a remote support or complaint-handling role. Some people will be busy, uninterested or unsuitable for the service. You need to move to the next conversation without allowing frustration to affect the way you treat another person.
You should be comfortable working towards measurable results, maintaining energy across the day and correcting a mistake promptly. Strong candidates combine warmth with composure. They can build rapport without becoming overfamiliar and remain helpful without making promises outside the approved information.
Turning personal quality into wider influence
Growth begins with delivering a dependable customer experience yourself. As your knowledge, judgement and results develop, you may help demonstrate good practice, contribute an observation during a review or assist a colleague with an approved process.
Wider responsibility is based on readiness and business need rather than a guaranteed timetable. The opportunity is to build evidence that your communication and behaviour can positively influence campaign standards around you.
How to apply
Send an up-to-date CV using LinkedIn and tell us when you could start. Add one example of helping a customer or member of the public understand something important. Explain what they needed, how you adapted your communication and what happened next.
