The Role

We are looking for a friendly, flexible, and multi-skilled individual to join our team, combining Front of House hospitality with Golf Operations support. This is a varied, customer-facing role where you'll help deliver outstanding service both in the clubhouse and out on the course.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is happy to turn their hand to everything from serving coffees to managing tee times, supporting competitions, and helping deliver successful functions and events.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Hospitality

  • Deliver exceptional customer service in the clubhouse, bar, and dining areas
  • Take and process food and beverage orders accurately
  • Serve food and drinks to a high standard, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Handle card payments using POS systems
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation of bar, dining, and service areas
  • Support setup, service, and breakdown of events, functions, and golf days, including evening events
  • Monitor and restock front of house supplies

Golf Operations & Course Support

  • Welcome golfers and manage check-in and prepayments
  • Manage tee sheets to maximise flow, play, and customer satisfaction
  • Act as starter and/or marshal to support pace of play and on-course etiquette
  • Manage rental equipment including buggies, trolleys, and hire sets
  • Support golf competitions, society days, and events
  • Communicate clearly with players before, during, and after their round
  • Support retail, promotions, and customer data capture
  • Maintain high presentation standards across clubhouse and golf facilities

Compliance, Safety & Teamwork

  • Follow food safety, licensing, and health & safety regulations
  • Serve alcohol responsibly and in line with licensing laws
  • Work closely with kitchen, bar, events, and golf teams
  • Take a proactive, team-first approach to daily operations

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or a similar front-facing role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy, customer-focused environment
  • Confidence handling payments and using POS systems
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, early starts, evenings, and late finishes for functions and events
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene and health & safety (training provided)

Desirable

  • Experience in a golf club, leisure, hotel, or hospitality environment
  • Food Safety Level 1 or 2 (or willingness to obtain)
  • Bar service experience or Personal Licence
  • Interest in or basic knowledge of golf (helpful but not essential)
