If you’re looking to take an exciting new direction with your HSBC career, an internal move can open the door to many opportunities, allowing you to take on a new challenge, and develop your skills. Bring your knowledge of our brand to a new role and grow yourself further.

We’re one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with a network that covers more than 50 countries and territories. We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Customer Intelligence Analyst on a fixed term contract until December 2027.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to play a key role in shaping how HSBC understands and responds to customer behaviour through data-driven insights and advanced analytics.

As a Customer Intelligence Analyst, you’ll work at the heart of customer analytics, transforming complex data into meaningful stories, actionable recommendations, and measurable business outcomes. You’ll partner closely with Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, and business stakeholders to uncover trends, identify growth opportunities, and support strategic decision-making across the organisation.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoy combining analytical thinking with storytelling, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to broaden their experience in customer analytics within a global organisation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
