Customer Journey Manager / Business Analyst
đź’° ÂŁ500 per day (Inside IR35)
đź“Ť London/Edinburgh (2 days per week onsite)
đź“… 1 year Contract
Our client is looking for an experienced Customer Journey Manager / Business Analyst with strong Trade Finance experience to support the transformation of Trade Finance products, client journeys, and API-led capabilities. You will work across business, product, architecture, and engineering teams to map and improve end-to-end Trade Finance journeys, identify opportunities for digital enablement, and translate business needs into product and technical solutions.
Your Responsibilities
- Map end-to-end customer journeys across Trade Finance, including Letters of Credit, Guarantees, Collections, Supply Chain Finance, and Receivables Finance.
- Define as-is and to-be journeys, identifying pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for digital/API enablement.
- Translate client and business requirements into product, solution, and architectural artefacts.
- Work with Trade, Product, and Engineering teams to shape Trade API strategy and use cases.
- Support prioritisation of API-led capabilities across areas such as LC, SCF, and Receivables.
- Collaborate with business, coverage, and client teams to validate journeys and proposed solutions.
- Support RFPs, vendor onboarding, and solution evaluation.
- Manage cross-system dependencies, risks, and integration constraints.
- Contribute to Design Authority and Architecture Review Board governance.
- Produce and maintain journey maps, solution blueprints, documentation, and standards.

Your Profile
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst, Customer Journey Manager, Service Designer, or Transformation Consultant.
- Strong Trade Finance domain knowledge and understanding of end-to-end trade workflows.
- Experience with customer journey mapping and service design.
- Ability to translate client and business needs into product and technical solutions.
- Experience working across complex, multi-system transformation programmes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technology teams.
- Understanding of APIs, cloud, and modern architecture patterns.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
- Experience with architecture/design governance and review processes.
- Strong ability to manage dependencies, risks, and integration challenges.

Desirable
- Experience with Trade Finance platforms such as Surecomp, Finastra, FIS, or Credable.
- Previous experience in Trade Finance transformation or customer journey programmes.
- Exposure to Trade digitisation and API-led transformation initiatives.
- Experience working closely with product, architecture, and engineering teams.
