About Next Energy (Part of Certas Energy)
Established in 2016 in Merseyside, Next Energy is a PAS2030-certified and Trustmark-verified retrofit installer, delivering all permissible fabric and renewable heating measures to domestic properties.
With a highly skilled and experienced workforce, we have grown to become one of the most reputable and reliable specialists within the UK renewable, heating and insulation sectors. We work with utility companies, local authorities, housing associations and directly with homeowners to make homes warmer, more comfortable and more affordable.
The Role
We are seeking a proactive, compassionate and customer-focused Customer Liaison Officer to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, based in Bury.
You will act as the key link between residents and our operational teams during the delivery of retrofit and renewable energy works. This role is central to ensuring residents feel informed, supported and confident throughout each stage of the project.
Working closely with site and office teams, you will coordinate communication, resolve concerns efficiently and ensure resident feedback is used to continuously improve service delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
