Customer Liaison Officer

Job Overview

Onshore Technical are currently looking to speak with experienced Customer Liaison Officers for a permanent opportunity supporting REPEX gas mains replacement works in the Basingstoke area.

This is a predominantly site-based role, covering works within a 30-mile radius of Basingstoke. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact between customers, clients, contractors and internal teams, helping to manage enquiries, resolve complaints and keep customers informed throughout the delivery of works.

  • Location: Within 30 miles of Basingstoke
  • Working Pattern: Predominantly site based
  • Engagement: Permanent
  • Salary: £32,000 per annum
  • Package: Company car, car allowance or van
  • Sector: Gas Distribution / REPEX / Utilities

The Role

The Customer Liaison Officer will be responsible for delivering a proactive and responsive customer service across live gas mains replacement works.

You will manage customer enquiries and complaints through to resolution, attend site visits where required, maintain accurate records, and liaise with customers, clients, contractors, local teams and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for customers, clients and internal teams
  • Manage customer enquiries and complaints through to resolution
  • Attend site visits and face-to-face customer meetings where required
  • Keep customers updated throughout the delivery of works
  • Maintain accurate records and use internal systems effectively
  • Liaise with contractors, local offices and partner agencies
  • Support the resolution of customer issues in a professional manner
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer processes and communication
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues

  • Previous customer-facing experience
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Confident dealing with customer enquiries and complaints
  • Able to liaise professionally with customers, clients, contractors and internal teams
  • Comfortable attending site visits and face-to-face meetings
  • Computer literate with good record-keeping skills
  • Utilities, construction, highways or gas experience preferred
  • Full UK driving licence required

Candidate Profile

This role would suit someone who is proactive, professional and confident dealing with customers both on site and over the phone. The right person will be organised, approachable and able to resolve issues calmly while maintaining strong relationships with customers and project teams.
