Aurizon Bulk West Division
Our Aurizon Bulk West division is a growing logistics business that includes rail operations, ports and terminals, containerised freight, and trucking.
As the primary operational and logistics contact for customers, you will coordinate customer service across the business unit. You will provide daily and weekly ordering and scheduling support, resolve service issues, and help identify and implement operational improvements.
About the role
- Manage customer enquiries: Respond to orders, variations, account queries and network disruptions, keeping customers informed throughout.
- Strengthen customer relationships: Maintain regular formal and informal communication, identify opportunities to improve service performance, and provide a consistent point of contact.
- Optimise fleet performance: Plan and schedule services effectively to improve asset utilisation and minimise operating costs.
- Coordinate the logistics network: Liaise with providers across the supply chain and take corrective action when customer or operational requirements affect business viability or performance.
- Manage service disruptions: Advise customers of forecast disruptions and actively drive recovery plans and solutions.
- Align internal services: Work with stakeholders to schedule additional services, set loading priorities in line with Bulk West performance metrics, and communicate instructions during emergencies.
- Partner with LiveRun: Support seamless handovers into and out of the 0–48-hour planning window, collaborate on emerging issues, and maintain continuity in the customer account experience.
- Support portfolio growth: Assist Customer Portfolio Managers to identify and implement incremental-revenue logistics planning and administrative services tailored to customer needs.

About you
- Experience in customer-facing logistics and operational scheduling, with a focus on maximising assets and resources.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI and SharePoint.
- Clear communication: Tailor messages across channels to meet the needs of different audiences.
- Customer focus: Build strong relationships and deliver customer-centred solutions.
- Collaboration: Develop effective partnerships and work with others to achieve shared objectives.
- Sound decision-making: Make timely, well-informed decisions that keep the organisation moving forward.
- Process improvement: Identify opportunities and help develop practical solutions that improve the way work is done.
