Gleeson has partnered with a leading Logistics business to recruit an experienced Customer Logistics Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven logistics professional to take ownership of customer logistics, inventory planning, SAP operations, pricing management, and customs compliance while leading a high-performing team.
This role is well suited to a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys driving operational improvements, and is passionate about delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining efficient supply chain operations.
Job Title: Customer & Logistics Manager
Location: Coventry
Salary: £48,000 - £53,000 + Bonus
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the Customer Logistics function
- Oversee customer order processing, quotations, invoicing, and customer enquiries
- Manage SAP pricing files across wear parts, consumables, spare parts, and third-party products
- Review and challenge pricing structures to ensure competitiveness whilst protecting margins
- Lead inventory planning activities to optimise stock availability and minimise holding costs
- Manage MRP processes and proactively address slow-moving and obsolete stock
- Oversee procurement and replenishment of third-party products
- Ensure inventory accuracy between internal systems and third-party logistics providers
- Maintain SAP material master data, including new part creation and substitute part management
- Ensure compliance with UK customs regulations, import/export requirements, and trade procedures
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs agents, customers, and internal stakeholders to resolve customs-related issues
- Monitor sales order processing and ensure timely release of customer orders
- Manage supplier purchase orders and oversee open order management processes
- Produce back order and inventory analysis reports, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations and SAP processes
- Monitor departmental performance against KPIs, SLAs, and customer expectations
- Lead, coach, and develop the Customer Logistics team to maximise performance and service delivery
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

- 5+ years experience within logistics, supply chain, inventory management.
- Strong SAP experience across pricing, material master data, purchasing, inventory management, and order processing
- Experience managing MRP and inventory planning activities
- Working knowledge of UK customs, import/export procedures, VAT, and trade compliance requirements
- Proven experience leading and developing customer-focused operational teams
