Customer & Marketing Insights Analyst
Birmingham | Hybrid – 1–2 days per week Permanent
The Opportunity
We’re recruiting a Customer & Marketing Insights Analyst to join an established organisation where customer insight plays an important role in shaping marketing and commercial decisions.
This is a hands-on analytical role working with large volumes of customer and transactional data. You’ll use SQL and Power BI to understand customer behaviour, measure the effectiveness of marketing activity and identify opportunities to improve engagement and commercial performance.
The role goes beyond producing dashboards and reporting KPIs. You’ll be expected to investigate the data, identify what is driving changes in performance and turn your findings into clear recommendations that stakeholders can act on.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Analyse customer and marketing data to understand behaviours and trends to identify commercial opportunities
- Evaluate marketing campaigns, promotions, offers and loyalty activity to understand their effectiveness and commercial impact.
- Explore customer groups and behaviours to identify opportunities around targeting, engagement and retention.
- Use SQL to extract, manipulate and investigate large datasets.
- Develop Power BI dashboards and visualisations that make customer and marketing performance easy to understand.
- Carry out deeper analysis to understand why performance has changed rather than simply reporting what has happened.
- Work closely with Marketing, Digital and Commercial stakeholders to understand business questions and determine the right analytical approach.
- Present findings clearly, turning complex analysis into a straightforward commercial story and practical recommendations.
- Support ad-hoc analytical projects around customer behaviour and wider business performance.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
