Customer Marketing Manager
We’re looking for an experienced Customer Marketing professional with a strong background in FMCG, ideally from a food or drinks environment.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working closely with Sales, Marketing and external creative partners to translate brand strategy into effective customer, shopper and commercial activity. You’ll play a key role in strengthening the brand’s presence across multiple channels while ensuring marketing investment delivers against both brand and business objectives.
Customer Marketing Strategy
- Work closely with the marketing and senior commercial team to shape the annual Customer Marketing strategy.
- Recommend the most effective customer and channel activity to support growth, brand visibility and commercial performance.
- Ensure Customer Marketing plans are aligned with the wider brand strategy and positioning.
Planning & Activation
- Own the development and delivery of the annual Customer Marketing plan across a range of customer and consumer channels.
- Develop channel-specific activations designed to increase brand visibility, encourage trial and drive sales.
- Lead shopper marketing initiatives across key retail customers.
- Develop branded materials, merchandise and supporting collateral to bring the brand experience to life.
- Maintain a clear and effective marketing activity calendar, ensuring stakeholders have visibility of upcoming initiatives.

Creative & Brand Delivery
- Brief and collaborate with creative agencies and external partners to develop high-quality brand assets.
- Ensure creative output is consistent with the brand’s positioning, tone of voice and visual identity.
- Work closely with the Social Media Manager to maximise the reach and impact of Customer Marketing initiatives.
- Partner with Sales to evaluate activity, measure ROI and identify opportunities to improve future campaigns.
Commercial & Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with the Sales team and develop a clear understanding of customer and market requirements.
- Work closely with customers and commercial teams to ensure marketing activity is relevant, effective and commercially focused.
- Support and represent the brand at relevant customer and consumer events.
- Take ownership of the Customer Marketing budget, ensuring investment is well managed and delivers a strong return.

- Ensure all customer-facing activity is consistent with brand guidelines and reinforces the desired positioning.
- Deliver high-quality activity that strengthens brand perception and communicates a compelling value proposition.
- Maintain a strong focus on execution, ensuring plans are delivered on time and to a high standard.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in Customer Marketing, within FMCG, food or drinks.
- Experience across customer, shopper, trade or commercial marketing.
- Experience managing marketing budgets and evaluating marketing investment.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to measure campaign performance and ROI.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong communication and influencing abilities.
- Experience briefing and managing creative agencies or external partners.
- A proactive, commercially minded approach with the confidence to take ownership and get things done.
- Someone who combines strong brand understanding with a clear focus on commercial results.
