We are looking for an experienced Customer Marketing Manager to join our close-knit marketing team on a part-time basis (3 days a week). The right person will help bring the Thatchers Cider story to life across both the on-trade and off-trade.

This maternity cover role is about turning brand and commercial priorities into authentic, compelling customer activations. The role will build visibility, drive rate of sale, and help create memorable moments for shoppers, customers, and cider drinkers at the point of purchase to ultimately drive penetration. The customer marketing manager will ensure a smooth handover, continuity, and thoughtful management of priorities throughout the maternity cover period.

About Us

Established in 1904 by William John Thatcher, we have grown into one of the top cider-making businesses in the world. Now in our fifth generation of family cider makers, we’re exceptionally proud of our Somerset roots.

We’ve experienced tremendous growth through industry-leading levels of investment in our marketing, people development, innovative technology, and world-class cider-making facilities. The best part? We’re just getting started.

The Role – What Will I Be Doing?

This role is responsible for developing and managing customer marketing plans for Thatchers Cider across key on-trade and off-trade customers, ensuring all activity supports brand objectives, customer priorities, and commercial targets. The position translates Thatchers brand campaigns into channel-specific activation plans, toolkits, and point-of-sale materials that are practical, impactful, and aligned with the brand.

Working closely with the wider marketing team, sales, category, field teams, and agency partners, the role delivers integrated activations from initial brief through to execution and evaluation. It leads the end-to-end delivery of customer marketing activity, including idea generation, customer sell-in, agency briefing, production, logistics, implementation, and post-campaign review. The role also manages customer marketing budgets effectively, ensuring spend is prioritized, delivered on time, and tracked against agreed KPIs.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
