About Zego

At Zego, we understand that traditional motor insurance holds good drivers back. It's too complicated, too expensive, and it doesn't reflect how well you actually drive. Since 2016, we have been on a mission to change that by offering the lowest priced insurance for good drivers.

From van drivers and gig workers to everyday car drivers, our customers are the driving force behind everything we do. We've sold tens of millions of policies and raised over $200 million in funding and picked up numerous awards, including the Insurance Claims Team Of The Year 2024 as awarded at The Insurance Post's Claims & Fraud Awards. And we’re only just getting started.

That’s where you come in...

We’re on the lookout for a passionate, driven, and eager Claims Handler to grow with our team in Halifax. This is a great opportunity for individuals with prior insurance experience. You’ll focus on turning a policyholder’s 'worst day' into a seamless resolution. You will manage the moving parts of motor claims, repairs, total loss valuations, and third-party recoveries, with a sharp eye for fraud and a focus on cost-effective results.

What you will be doing

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of motor claims through to final settlement, ensuring accurate liability assessment and proactive cost control.
  • Assess recovery and total loss claims by reviewing evidence, such as dash-cam footage, witness statements, and police reports.
  • Keep our internal systems and customer files updated.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and routing customers to the best supplier.
  • Dealing with other insurers, solicitors, or credit hire companies, managing costs and settling losses.
  • Handle grievances or disagreements regarding settlement figures or liability decisions with patience and data-backed explanations.
  • Issuing settlements for repairs, medical bills, or vehicle settlements once the claim is finalised.
  • Proactively identify and investigate potential fraud indicators by cross-referencing claim details with industry databases.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
