CUSTOMER ONBOARDING EXECUTIVE
Lincoln. £25,000 basic, £30,000 OTE.
Your customer. Your order. Your job to get them live.
That is the whole role. A business telecoms provider in Lincolnshire, growing fast off the back of the 2027 copper switch off, needs someone to take new customers from signed contract to go live and be the one name they deal with the whole way through.
Not an admin role. Not a ticket queue. Your own portfolio, start to finish.
The Job
- Own your customers from sales handover to go live
- Coordinate provisioning, installs, number porting and connectivity
- Chase Sales, Technical, Engineering and suppliers to keep orders moving
- Check the paperwork is right before an order progresses, because that is where things go wrong
- Update customers even when there is nothing to report, because silence is what they complain about
- Spot delays early and escalate them instead of sitting on them
- Hand over cleanly to the Customer Experience team once the customer is live

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You
- Organised, with several plates spinning and none of them dropping. Confident on the phone. The sort of person who takes it personally when a customer gets let down.
- Telecoms, connectivity or hosted telephony experience helps. So does any background where you have run installs or complex onboarding. If you have done it in logistics, utilities, IT or anywhere else, apply.
