Job Title
To support the management team to deliver a cost effective, customer focused check in and disembarkation service to tourist and freight customers booked to travel through the Port of Cairnryan.
To carry out all duties, and to conduct themselves, in line with the P&O Ferries Values and Behaviours.
To ensure all operations are carried out in a safe manner.
To utilise skills and knowledge of Freight and Tourist operations and the business to work effectively.
To be flexible to work across all areas of the Customer Operations Department to meet the demands of the business.
To assist colleagues in their development of the role.
Responsibilities and Duties
- To check in and process customers coming through the port
- Release and out gate traffic
- To provide a high standard of customer service to our customers
- To ensure the safety of yourself and others in the port
- To report any breaches or suspected breaches of security
- Ensure personal behaviour promotes culture change and reflects the values of the business

Ideal Candidate
- Have customer service experience
- Manage to work as part of a team and on their own
- Understanding of IT systems such as Microsoft Outlook/Teams
- Experience working in a customer-facing environment.
- Experience operating within a safety-critical environment.
- Experience managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Previous experience within ports, shipping, logistics, transport, or ferry operations.
- Experience of vehicle marshalling or traffic management.
- Experience operating passenger transport vehicles.
