trg. recruitment is hiring a Customer Operations Partner to join a high-growth, venture-backed B2B software company.
In this role you'll be the named point of contact for a portfolio of customer accounts, from onboarding, through to day-to-day running of these relationships.
In this role, you'll spend as much time prompting and improving AI agents as you will speaking directly with customers and suppliers, and you'll be trusted with real commercial and financial decisions, not just admin.
What you'll do
- Owning your accounts: being the go-to contact for a portfolio of customers, understanding their suppliers, handling inbound queries on orders, deliveries, payments and the platform itself.
- Commercial & financial: speaking directly with suppliers to finalise orders, pricing and terms; managing customer credit limits and clearance decisions; booking and negotiating freight where needed.
- AI & automation: prompting, configuring and maintaining the AI agents that run routine workflows across your accounts, knowing when to let the agent run versus stepping in yourself, and continuously identifying the next piece of your own workload worth automating.
- Reliability & quality: investigating the root cause of delivery and quality exceptions, owning compliance and certification documents, and supporting new services as they launch.
- Continuous improvement: monitoring key operational metrics (OTIF, invoice accuracy, payment turnaround, supplier onboarding cycle time), identifying process improvements, and collaborating closely with sourcing, commercial, technical and sales teams.

The ideal candidate will:

- Have 1–3 years experience in a role managing multiple stakeholders and processes at once e.g. Customer Success, Operations, Account Management, Purchasing, Logistics
- Be comfortable having real commercial conversations: negotiating a price or owning a credit decision
- Be comfortable using AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT in day-to-day and ideally have experience in automating systems to ease day to day workflows
- Exposure to food, consumer goods or supply chain/logistics is a bonus, but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
- £35,000-45,000
