Customer Operations Specialist
Mercedes-Benz Financial Services | Tongwell, Milton Keynes
📍 Location: Tongwell, Milton Keynes – Hybrid Working
💷 Pay Rate: £14.77 per hour PAYE
📅 Contract: 12 months initially
⏰ Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00am – 5:00pm
☕ Breaks: 30-minute lunch + 15-minute break
👥 Vacancies: 8 positions available
🚀 Start Date: 19th October
About the Role

Mercedes-Benz Financial Services is looking for Customer Operations Specialists to join its Customer Operations team in Tongwell, Milton Keynes.
This is a fast-paced and varied role where you will support customers across telephone and email channels, resolve queries, handle more complex or escalated situations and ensure customers receive the right support and outcome.
You will be joining a collaborative, customer-focused team where no two days are the same. This is an excellent opportunity to build your experience within financial services and develop a broad range of customer service and operational skills.
While this opportunity is initially offered on a 12-month contract, it provides a fantastic opportunity to gain experience within Mercedes-Benz Financial Services and potentially progress into future opportunities across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound customer enquiries across telephone and email.
- Provide a professional, friendly and customer-focused service.
- Manage escalated and more complex customer queries with empathy and sound judgement.
- Identify and appropriately support vulnerable customers.
- Investigate customer queries and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve the best possible resolution.
- Aim to resolve queries at the first point of contact wherever possible.
- Maintain accurate customer and case information across internal systems.
- Balance excellent customer service with operational targets and service standards.
- Ensure customer interactions are handled in line with FCA requirements, internal policies and regulatory standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Financial services experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A confident and professional telephone manner.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to remain calm and resilient when dealing with challenging or escalated situations.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Confidence supporting customers with different needs and circumstances.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A collaborative approach and enjoyment of working as part of a team.
- A genuine motivation to help customers and deliver positive outcomes.

You will be expected to work to high standards of professionalism and integrity, ensuring compliance with relevant requirements and internal policies, including:

Full training will be provided.
