Customer Order Management Specialist

We are looking for a talented Customer Order Management Specialist to join our team in Daventry, United Kingdom.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Provide timely and accurate administrative support to the order management team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Process customer orders within the order management system, meeting required deadlines and maintaining high levels of accuracy.
  • Maintaining clear lines of communication with customers from order placement to shipment.
  • Support data entry tasks such as new customer set-ups, credit and debit administration, and order updates.
  • Prepare and distribute standard internal reports to support operational visibility and decision-making.
  • Maintain and cleanse data within the order management system, ensuring accuracy across customer details, pricing, order holds, and other key fields.
  • Undertake “face-to-face” customer visits and product witness testing at the Daventry plant.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and communicate suggestions to the Supervisor.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

  • General understanding of order entry processes, customer support functions, and back-office operations.
  • Strong customer service experience with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of MRP systems, with experience in Oracle R12 considered a strong advantage.
  • Good standard of English and numeracy, with an additional language beneficial.

Education/Experience

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or operational environment is highly advantageous.
  • Technical understanding of generator set systems would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Familiarity with the full order life cycle and associated systems will support success in this role.
