As a Customer Partnership Director, you'll be at the centre of some of DHL's most important customer relationships, shaping strategy, influencing operational performance, and creating long-term value across both warehousing and transport operations. Acting as a trusted partner to senior customer stakeholders and an influential leader across DHL, you'll drive service excellence, champion innovation, and turn supply chain challenges into opportunities for growth and continuous improvement.
This highly visible role offers a blend of customer relationship management, operational leadership, commercial accountability, and stakeholder engagement. Based predominantly onsite at Manton Wood, Worksop, with hybrid flexibility, you'll spend significant time within the operation, partnering with leadership teams across both warehouse and transport functions to drive performance, strengthen customer partnerships, and deliver a seamless end-to-end supply chain experience across the site and wider customer network.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
- Building strong relationships with senior customer stakeholders, acting as their trusted advisor and primary point of contact within DHL.
- Working alongside operational leaders to resolve escalations, remove barriers, and drive rapid issue resolution through to completion.
- Spending time across both warehouse and transport operations to understand service performance, identify risks, and support operational excellence.
- Reviewing operational KPIs, service levels, customer metrics, and performance trends to ensure contractual commitments are consistently achieved.
- Leading customer governance activities, including Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, presenting performance results and future improvement plans.
- Identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer service, efficiency, productivity, and supply chain performance.
- Managing commercial performance across the account, reviewing costs, profitability, growth opportunities, and contract compliance.
- Collaborating with a range of stakeholders across operations, commercial, finance, customer experience, and project teams to deliver a consistent "One DHL" customer experience.

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
- Have senior-level customer or account management experience and can confidently engage and influence executive stakeholders.
- Are equally comfortable discussing warehouse operations, transport performance, financials, and strategic business plans.
- Thrive in fast-paced environments where no two days are the same and priorities can change quickly.
- Have strong stakeholder management skills and can bring multiple teams together to achieve common objectives.
- Are commercially minded and understand how to balance exceptional customer service with revenue, cost, and profitability targets.
- Can tell a compelling story using operational and commercial data, helping customers and internal stakeholders make informed decisions.
- Are proactive problem solvers who identify risks and opportunities before they become major issues.
- Are natural coaches and leaders who can develop people, influence culture, and create high-performing teams.
