Customer Pricing Manager

Farnell, an Avnet company, is a global high-service distributor of technology products, services, and solutions for electronic system design, maintenance, and repair.

Location

Leeds, LS12 2TU (Hybrid, 3 days per week on-site)

Help shape customer pricing strategy and drive profitable growth

At Farnell, we're looking for an experienced Customer Pricing Manager to play a pivotal role in driving profitable growth across our global customer portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a pricing function that is evolving. Working closely with Sales Leadership, Product Management, and commercial stakeholders across the business, you'll use data, market insight, and financial modelling to support pricing decisions that enhance customer value while delivering sustainable margin growth.

Job Summary

As Customer Pricing Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and optimising customer pricing strategies that support revenue growth, margin performance, and long-term customer success.

You'll partner closely with Sales teams to model pricing agreements, evaluate commercial opportunities, analyse contract performance, and deliver pricing recommendations that balance competitiveness with profitability. The role will also play a key part in driving the adoption of intelligent pricing tools and helping shape the future of customer pricing across the organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop customer pricing strategies that support profitable revenue growth across strategic accounts.
  • Partner with Sales Leadership to provide pricing guidance and commercial support on key opportunities and negotiations.
  • Lead the financial modelling and evaluation of customer pricing agreements and contracts.
  • Analyse pricing performance, customer profitability, and contract effectiveness to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Deliver data-driven insights and recommendations that support commercial decision-making.
  • Monitor market trends, customer behaviours, and competitive activity to inform pricing strategy.
  • Drive adoption of pricing tools, pricing governance processes, and intelligent pricing capabilities.
  • Support contract renewals, pricing reviews, and strategic account planning activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Sales, Product Management, Finance, and Pricing teams globally.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance pricing effectiveness and business performance.

What we're looking for

  • Experience within Pricing, Commercial Finance, Sales Operations, Revenue Management, Commercial Analytics, or a related commercial discipline.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to influence profitability and business performance.
  • Experience developing pricing recommendations and supporting commercial decision-making through analysis and modelling.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
  • Experience working with customer pricing agreements, commercial contracts, or strategic account pricing.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using pricing or analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business recommendations.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within electronics distribution, industrial distribution, manufacturing, or wider B2B environments.
  • Knowledge of pricing optimisation methodologies and intelligent pricing solutions.
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, CRM systems, or commercial analytics platforms.
  • Experience supporting multinational sales organisations and global stakeholders.
