Customer Project Manager
Location: Hamilton – Excellent Salary and Benefits package
Are you an experienced project professional who thrives on taking full ownership? Our client is looking for a hands-on Project Manager to take complete control of customer projects, from kick-off to final handover, within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the Director of Transformation, this is a role with real autonomy and real impact. You'll be the key link between the Tier 1 customers and our internal teams, making sure every project is delivered on time, to specification and within agreed commercial parameters.
What you'll be doing
As the primary project contact for the customers, you'll build strong working relationships, lead regular project calls and keep everyone clearly informed on progress, milestones, risks and actions. Behind the scenes, you'll develop and maintain detailed project plans and Gantt charts, track deliverables and dependencies, and make sure nothing slips through the cracks.
You'll work closely with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, Logistics and Sales, bringing teams together so the customer experiences a clear, consistent service throughout the project lifecycle.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Taking end-to-end ownership of customer projects, from kick-off through to completion and structured handover into production / account management.
- Leading customer project calls and reviews, providing clear updates on progress, risks, issues and actions.
- Building and managing detailed project plans and Gantt charts with clearly defined milestones and deliverables.
- Coordinating cross-functional teams and managing timelines, dependencies, priorities and resources.
- Monitoring project costs and commercial requirements, escalating any potential impact on budget or customer expectations.
- Identifying risks / issues early and putting effective mitigation plans in place.
- Managing changes to customer requirements so they are properly assessed, communicated and controlled.
- Keeping project documentation and ERP/CRM systems accurate / up to date.
- Providing regular project reporting to customers and senior management.
- Supporting quotations and commercial activity, ensuring customer requirements and project scope are clearly understood.
- Continuously improving how we deliver projects, communicate and look after customers.
About you

You might currently be a Project Manager, Project Engineer, Programme Manager or Project/Account Manager. Whatever your title, you're comfortable taking ownership, making things happen and keeping multiple plates spinning in a manufacturing setting.
You'll bring experience of:
- Managing projects from initiation through to completion.
- Producing and managing detailed project plans and Gantt charts.
- Juggling multiple workstreams, deadlines and dependencies.
- Leading customer meetings and project reviews, ideally with Tier 1 customers.
- Coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Managing risks, issues, actions and change.
- Reporting progress to customers and senior management.
- Working with ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and project planning tools.
